Offday Killarney

Said goodbye to Frederik in the morning as he was heading to Dublin. Walked around Killarney and the adjacent National Park. Went to he outdoor shop again to get a replacement for the small disk for my walking pole. Its predecessor is lost in the mud of the Beara Way, haha.
Asked the woman behind the counter what the best idea for skipping the Killarney - Galway's Bridge part of the Kerry Way would be (Did that part last year) and she suggested a boat ride on Muckross Lake. The boats depart at Ross Castle which is only a 20min walk from the city centre and will go directly to Black Valley. What a grand idea! She sent me to ask the owner of a pub who operates he boat.
He was not present but I got a phone no., called him and booked a ride for 11am tomorrow morning for 16 eur. Yeah! So again I was helped by some friendly Irish and the outcome was even better than I thought. Hopefully the weather will stay as good as it was today.
