Bye, bye Amsterdam

Monday - sadly our last day in Amsterdam. The sun was shining all day long giving us an even harder time leaving. We stuck to our plan and went to the houseboat museum which was pretty nice. I decided I wanted a houseboat sometime. It's such a great way of living!

Did a 90 min pedal boat ride next and that was easily the best thing we did on our stay. We just floated slowly through the canals enjoying the sun and the beautiful view. It's so much better than the canal tours in those boats!

The Amsterdam Dungeon was next after a nice lunch. The queue was quite short and the "tour" started after like 20 mins. It was really nice, but if you've been to the Dungeons in London or Hamburg, Amsterdam is a bit lame.
Got our luggage from the hotel and went to the airport to go home.

Must-dos:
- The Malaysian Restaurant on Zeedijk 35!
- Do a 90 min pedal boat ride.
- Visit the Pancake Bakery on Prinsengracht 191 and have one of their specials.
- Albert Cuyp market if only to get out of the tourist crammed inner city.

Might-dos:
- Photography museum if you're really into photography.
- Anne Frank huis if you like to queue for at least 60 mins.
- Canal tour if you don't like pedal boats.
- Amsterdam Dungeon if you haven't been to any other of the Dungeon experiences.
- Rembrandt huis if you're into his etchings.

Good to know:
- Drinks are awfully expensive! Prices for food are generally okay, but drinks - especially if they're not on the menu - are just expensive. Payed 4,60 Eur for a large coke (550ml) or a beer. Small beers are 3 Eur. Guess it's better to just order food and get the drinks elsewhere.

After all this has been a fantastic holiday and I can only encourage you to go to Amsterdam if you haven't been there yet.
